This Statute is completely useless. The Sovereignty Act can only be envoked within a Provincial Court not a Federal Court. A Federal Court will not recognize this statute on this matter whatsoever.

Also The Federal Government does ha e Jurisdicition on this matter because O&G falls under Section 93 of the Constitution Act. It is not a Provincial Responsibility as much as Premier Smith believes it is. The Provincial has Administrative and Managerial jurisdiction of this matter as laid out within the Natural Resources Transfer Agreement. However, the Federal Government has Regulatory Jurisdiction under Section 93
