Shawn Colvin plays an unreleased new song called "Spider Web" live in concert at the Crest Theatre in Sacramento, California on January 24, 2023. Colvin debuted Spider Web a few nights earlier at the beginning of the tour. Shawn Colvin is a Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter from Carbondale, Illinois. Joining her onstage as part of their Together In Concert tour were Marc Cohn (piano and vocals) and Sarah Jarosz (octave mandolin and vocals).

I wrote this during ‘Occupy Boston’ and took the train down to Gloucester for the festival and while on the beach this phenomenon did occur. It lasted all afternoon and everyone saw it. I’ve never seen anything like that before or since. And from that beach you can see the twin lighthouses prominently so I thought I’d insert ‘Twin Flames’ here. I was reading ‘A Course In Miracles’ in Austin in 2008 when I wrote this. The book posited correctly I think that the ego interferes with our ability to perceive or ‘hear’ or ‘feel’ the gentle promptings of the Holy Spirit or other spiritual influences but when we get it out of the way we can be led to beautiful insights and realizations as I was led to realize that you are my guardian angel Shawn. So, thank you for guiding me through a nightmare with your beautiful voice, spirit and example. I’d like to think I’m ‘home’ now and safe. I’m content.
