Batea Panning

Last month I ordered a batea Pan from Placer Gold designs out of Vancouver British Columbia Canada. It was a gold pan I seen Vo-Gus Prospecting using In one of his videos. I really like how he could take a couple shovels of material and pan it down to just a tablespoon of blacksand And the gold he found. In under a minute. i'm on a gravel bar testing out this pan for myself. I need more practice on this pan and I need some way of sitting down on a stool in the water and not bending over as much as I am.

Vogus Prospecting does a lot with the Bates as you probably already know, he really seams to have a good technique to learn from. It really looks like a very interesting/efficient pan. Thanks for the video. I now know to get in shape before trying this pan.

Nice Iowa gold. I’ve never gone here in Iowa. Always head West to Colorado, Arizona, or California. I once read someone found gold in Iowa much further North from here in Davenport area back in late 1800’s. Keep up the good work and mastering that new pan!

Take it easy buddy you gonna blow out your O ring. Good video decent gold. I don't think l would do very well with that pan.

I have been considering getting one of those to try out. The sandy soil on my land is loaded with fine flour gold but it is tedious to pan out. I am thinking the Batea pan might make my work a bit easier when prospecting through the different layers.
