How to use Google Cardboard on the Samsung Gear VR – Oculus Software turn off without root

What You Need To Do
1.) Download Package Disabler on the Google Play Store. This App Let’s You use Google Cardboard on Gear VR
2.) Open Package Disabler (or Pro)
3.) Search “Gear VR Service” and checked box
4.) All it takes. Open any Google Cardboard app and Cardboard game.
3.) The Samsung Note 4 Connect to the Samsung Gear VR

Could this be used to disable whatever block Samsung has in place that's preventing us from using dual shock controllers with the S7 edge as well? I know someone's got the know how to do it, if it hasnt already been invented.

Does the 2017(A324) version fits on a 6.5 inch unsupported phone?
I don't need the oculus app, I just want it to fit, atleast for watching movies, and some daydream apk games.
My phone is Realme C3. (6.5 inch)

Great video, but I was wondering, since most cardboard apps are made using Unity or Unreal Engine, technically, isn't it possible to convert them into apps that can only be used on Gear VR? I know the process isn't drag and drop, but isn't it possible?

Is there any way to create an icon/shortcut on the home page. Once pressed will prompt me to plug in my phone and go straight to my own 360 photos? I want to bypass the oculus home page and 360 photos main menu. thanks

there is no need to use an external app: you only need to enable the developer mode in the "gear vr services" app (it is very similar to the developer mode on the phone, it takes just a bunch of taps)

or you could just use the little flip out usb plug as a clip just like on the other side of the headset to hold the phone in place without pluging it in

So getting the package disabler will stop it from connecting to the Gear VR when you connect it ? cuz I'm having a hard time playing games outside the VR home page I downloaded games but every time I put it in the head set it connects to Gear VR can someone please help with this
