Love Libby. One of the best "free" book apps available... although I don't think ppl realize these books aren't actually free. Your library has to pay a licensing fee and can only lend digital books & audiobooks X number of times before their digital copies "wear out". Then they're hit with a renewal fee to get a "new" book. So people shouldn't just check-out a ton of books they'll never read... cause they really aren't "free". The library is paying the publisher a hefty licensing fee w/ your tax dollars. Btw, can we get some content about your dog? Cat too if you have one. :)

The good thing about Audible is that you can actually keep the audiobooks you like especially if you have children and they like certain stories it just makes it easier to have your own little library of audiobooks that they like to listen to you can adjust speed a lot more than you can with the levee or overdrive. Yes audible is pricey it’s not free but it has a lot more books than Libby and overdrive combined there are a lot more books on audible that are not on those to other apps. Secondly or thirdly audible has (for popular books) such as Lord of the rings for instance multiple narrators options what I mean by that is they are multiple audiobooks you can pick from. Sometimes a narrator can make or break a book and it gives you the option to select the voice or the person you like most. Furthermore there are dramatized versions of some books especially for kids if you want them to get into certain books the dramatize version kind of brings it more to life I have sound effects background sounds and different actors for the different characters. PS classics such as around the World in 80 days or 20, 000 leagues could be a little dry for kids to read but the dramatize versions make it really exciting.

Hey greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷 ! What an amazing video. I really liked it! I was researching something about books and I found your channel and it's just amazing. I'm passionate about books and I love reading on my cell phone too. Libby is without a doubt my favorite of all. Anyway, thanks a bunch!

Loved the video. I can’t use Libby since my local library is not available...but I use Axis 360 works with my library card as well. Loved the info on Storygraph thinking about trying it out. And by the way love you channel and your reviews 💕

Thank you so much for this video! So well done and tons of great insight that I'm going to use! I just organized my library and it's out of control... I need to lean into audio merely for space reasons! Ha! And I can't wait to try my hand at Net Galley! Thanks for putting this together.

Great video! Just want to mention that on Libby, I don’t think you can hold physical copies of books. Rather, you can borrow audio books or ebooks. I will often borrow both versions of a book I am reading and alternate between reading and listening.

Youtube has plenty of creators that will give you FREE audiobooks. High School Audiobooks, for example, has lots of classic short stories uploaded that are ready for your listening pleasure....
