He's just adorable. I wanna give him a big hug. His second album is so sad, and in a real, honest way. Sometimes I find sad themes in music is almost. Glorified. In a way that it becomes cliché and not authentic. Perfume genius is simply, speaking through his music. His music sounds very intimate. As if he's voicing these mumbled thoughts through music. Genius in song writing. Sorry my English sucks. There's more I want to say but I have trouble finding words.

This era of music is not talked about enough, only for the more popular artists of that time sadly, but we had Perfume Genius, The Drums, Sky Ferrera, Girls, Crystal Castles, The Do, Porter, The Kills, The Dead Weather, and so many other artists including trippy goth rap experimental type lol. It was everything, beyond tumblr, you'd go out at night and feel like those artists, the mindset was on their shows, on their concerts, dancing high at bars, living dramatic relationships, people found community thanks to those groups and artists, it made you want to be outside and show your weird self unashamed.

Don't hate me, but I would love to hear him sing this as a duet with Lana Del Rey. Either way it's the only kind of love song I love. Over-dramatic and a little twisted.
