#72 is on Tingle's North Clocktown Nighttime Disappearance

I kind of think he only appears in Clock Town so that you're forced to encounter him in the first cycle. You'd be less likely to spot him in other locations if you didn't already know his deal.

Either he’s scared of the thief or he goes to Tingle Island! TINGLE-TINGLE! KOOLOO-LIMPAH!

My theory is that the cutscene that is played with the thief is pretty taxing on the n64 and could have caused slowdown in development, maybe there’s a code to de spawn him on that night.

Maybe he has a secret sky base he goes to at night lol

The only two non dangerous zones where you encounter him would be on the road to Romani Ranch and in the Great Bay (considering there are no flying enemies or enemies waiting on the ground)

You could have just said "Tingle" and ended the short there, he is an oddity.

Not really accurate depending on how you play the game but maybe he goes to wait for you at a different location?
