great to hears there's positive reviews on the Nokia N8, Im working to promote Nokia in phone stores in Melbourne, and this has encouraged me and increased my belief in Nokia phones.

Well mine arrived and I must say it exceeded my expectaions! All the Symbian grumblings can be put to rest, this is much snappier to use with smooth transitions and such in the UI. It feels like ithe iPod touch touchscreen and works even through screen protector, it is very accurate. The screen itself being OLED is like your very own personal plasma screen and the black levels are out of this world! It did get a little jumpy when I set up email but it soon calmed down within a few seconds.

Wow 720p HD recording thats very impressive, OLED screen and multitasking what more could you ask for compared to the iPhone this is amazing.

@SimonFanTV I think this sort of thing is subjective. Personally I quite like it. Themes mean you can switch icons etc around if that's what you want to do.. but from a branding point of view it makes more sense for Nokia to have a standard icon set.

Bear in mind that the icons are designed to work world wide - a lot harder than people might realise.

@winterlandboy Yes it will. This is done through Nokia Messaging, which effectively adds push email to any email account.

@cylon6 That's subjective of course - each platform has its own advantages and disadvantages. Snazzy or usable - depends on person. More snazziness in Symbian^3 - transitions, animated wallpapers, glow UI etc etc.

One fault perhaps of the slower CPU is that I noticed whilst playing internet radio in the background using Tunewiki is that the music would skip when something went on such as sending an SMS the music player built in did not do this. The UI didn't slow down and the music continued to stream over WIFI when the phone went to sleep. Wifi signal is strong as is Bluetooth where other devices would normally disconnect! Go give it a try for real and see what you think, it could be the phone for you!

@mkr10001 I think there'll be some set uup required - so it wont be a one click process - but it should be possible. Nokia rep said it took about 2 days for existing publishers to set up WebTV powered by their existing back ends.

@trillytrap I mean the software, Sports Tracker. It can be installed in N8, helps you with your sports and you will get the awesome camera too.

@geradul Yes it will require an internet connection - most of the content is streamed, though there is potential for download for later playback too. The service is free.
