I’ll admit, I’ve always been confused on this topic. 😅
Thanks for clearing it up!

Very insightful video guys and love it when I learn something! There are comics I enjoy but I do tend to wait for the 5-6 issue release to be bound in trade before I purchase. My spouse does the same with Deadpool which is now a pretty massive comic collection. Great job you toob er...two, -Cheers!

Glad to see that you're still covering comics on here and you haven't turned your back in order to hop on that manga train. American comics are under represented on BookTube. Let's lead the charge in order to change that! Hurrah!

Great video.

This was really interesting and informative. The only comic I've read is Sandman, so I'm a totally clueless newbie, but I fell in love with the medium because of the masterpiece that is Berserk (please keep reading it)
I find myself more attracted to non-superhero comics, so a video about the best stuff that Valiant and Image have published, and other publishers like that, would be cool.

A few that I've had my eye on the most are Saga, Preacher, East of West, Sin City, and Y: The Last Man.

When comes to superheroes, Marvel has always been my preference, especially for their street level stuff. It still mostly is though the MCU did burn me out for a few years there which I've only started to crawl back out of in the last year. I do love me some DC but I'm much more selective with DC in comparison to Marvel. I like Superman, The Flash, Nightwing, JSA, Green Lantern, Titans, Doom Patrol, that type of thing.

I tried getting into Valiant a few years ago with Bloodshot, Quantum and Woody, Ninjak and XO Manowar but nothing stuck.

But for the Indie Superhero stuff Invincible, Astro City and Jupiter's Legacy scratch that it itch for me.

Image is usually a hit with me and I've been getting back into it lately. Any recs, preferably short and finished series?

I've liked what I've read from Dynamite and Boom too. I wish Vertigo stuck, cuz DC Black Label is just another Batman line it seems.

The best US comics are from Image and other "indpendent" studios.
