It is noted that the launch was carried out in the province of Pyeongnan-Namdo. The rocket flew to the east. The military of South Korea and the United States are analyzing the situation.

On September 12, the UN Security Council unanimously adopted a resolution on the imposition of new sanctions against the DPRK. So, restrictions will be imposed on deliveries of oil products to North Korea. The limit on the supply of crude oil to the republic is also determined - the volumes should not exceed the figures for the past 12 months. Also, North Korea will not be able to buy condensates and gas condensate liquids and will not be able to sell textile products. At the same time, the Security Council expressed its readiness to support the six-party talks and called for their resumption.
