Btw, check how thin those screen bezels were for a nearly 10 year old device... Truly a phone way ahead of it's time. I loved this phone and it still remains one of my most favorite phones that i've ever had

If HTC makes a 10th year anniversary edition, I'm buying it.

This was my all time favorite phone! The screen felt so big back then lol. I had it to where I could dual boot either windows or android!

I'm still using mine. Been using it for almost 9 years now.
It runs Android because of the apps that I use/need.

THEY NEED TO MAKE AN UPDATED CLONE, no selfie camera, removable battery 5k mAh, 3.5mm headphone jack, ability to install MULTIPLE ROMS

This phone was the truth .

I bought this phone refurbished for $525 back in 2009. It's been 11 years and I was just showing this to my 12 years old. He uses S20+ and still he fell in love with this ❤️. Miss that phone. So cool. Now I am a note 10+ guy 😁

This is pure nostalgia, I remember installing android roms on this device it was such a great pleasure, even windows phone and linux can be installed on this thing.. but the original htc system was the best!

Way ahead of its time. I used to load emulators and roms on it. Even found a way to use the PS2 controller on it. Best phone ever.

I kinda miss my removable Battery. The HTC HD2 was my all-time favorite phone for a very long time. It only got replaced recently with my Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro.

I had a HTC HD mini back in 2012.
it was already outdated and EOL when i got it, the store was offline already.
However i just googled one day and quickly found an android port and carefully followed all the instructions.
I´ll never forget this feeling when i saw this "nexus" live wallpaper for the first time.
This was my first touch with root/custom ROMs and since then, anything i get will be flashed.
I also own two HD2 now aswell as a brand new, sealed in box HD mini (i broke the seal and tested the device and then put it back in the box, total costs 15€ in 2021 lol).

Still running LineageOS on my OnePlus 3t, which is the predecessor of CyanogenMod.

This was my first smart phone. I used android on it thanks to the talented people posting on xda forums. At the time this phone released, there was no device that ran android natively that could compete with its specs and screen size. So porting android over to it was such a premium experience. The phone felt so large. I think the largest android screen at the time was like 3.7". The ram made it possible to run emulators well. The phone was bad ass for its time. Legendary indeed.

This phone looks incredible! We're halfway through 2020 and I feel like I must own one. The future of cell phones was so bright back then. The last phone I ever purchased was the LG Optimus Pro G (e980) which is from 2013...It's all pretty much downhill afterwards.

HTC HD 2..Still alive...iconic...sound is better than more of mid range cell phones.

I still have mine. Can't reliably use it anymore due to worn out flash memory. I changed roms like crazy back then. I am aware you could install ROMs to SD card but cards weren't fast back then compared to internal flash. So I wore mine out pretty quickly. I refuse to let it go cuz of what it means to me.

Lol I had so much nostalgia that mine broke and was suppose to repair and parts are still laying around. I didn't realize there was such a following even if nostalgia for this phone. Here I am after watching so many new cells with snapdragon and reminded me how excited with the spec of this cell. The quality of materials were great at least for my taste better than glass.

Looking back at what HTC did for the evolution of the smartphone business makes me miss them even more.Great device, great inovation but bad timing and bad marketing ideas.Hope to see them again.
