Over the last few years we've dedicated a few videos to Momose and Seventy Seven Guitars who are both made by Deviser in Nagano, Japan - however I've never gone over Bacchus which was the first electric guitar brand from that factory. Today is all things Bacchus!

I’ve owned a Crews LP style guitar made by Deviser in 2019 for a while and it’s the best feeling and playing Les Paul I’ve ever had my hands on. It wasn’t necessarily cheap but the K&T pickups and wood choices on it still made it a great value.

deviser made the excellent levinson blade guitars late 80/90s, many have momose custom craft written in neck pocket, the older mij blades are said to be hand made, production was later moved to korea, new fugly headstock, more factory produced, but the early mij blades are worth looking out for, the blades for japan/europe/aus/nz etc had fender style headstock, for usa market suhr beak style headstock, deviser also made/make guitars, well body/neck for high end japanese brands like combat, crews maniac, who then put their own hardware in them, terada made some too, headway also did make a few electric models, mostly 90s metal looking guitars, which sometimes pop up cheap, as few know the deviser connection

I currently own a Bacchus Tele BT series. Its an original model from the late 90’s with the spelling error on the headstock, “begining of the new tradition” its a handmade in Japan through deviser?? Fabulous guitar. I am interested in the other models you spoke of in your video momo?? And 77. Can you tell me more on these, have a great day, thank you, Reg Kopp

If you're gonna go with Japanese models, you definitely gotta choose a model that's built by a Japanese Luthier's. I believe they hold their standards very high. I know Japanese companies have guitars that play just as well, and some are even better than American made Fenders and Gibson's. They are player guitars just like you said, get a top of the line instrument that's made for gigging or recording for $1000 dollars. They just don't hold value.
