It's always fascinating to see a solo game dev come out of nowhere and have their game blow up with almost zero promotion. So many game devs struggle to being exposure to their games, spending thousands on ads, begging streamers to showcase their game, building a community on social media to spread awareness of their project, and so on. Then you have Balatro's dev come along and say in interviews "I was just making a game for myself, I wasn't expecting a million of you to buy it!"

The only minor gripe I have with Balatro is that I would like a little more music variety. I know it’s not the focus, but just a few more tracks would go a long way for me.

Otherwise, I love this game and the devs should be proud of their work on display here.
