How does the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Galaxy S24 Ultra (5000mAh) stack up against it's predecessor, the S23 Ultra (5000mAh), OnePlus 12 (5400mAh), OPPO Find X7 Ultra (5000mAh), Vivo X100 Pro (5400mAh), Pixel 8 Pro (5050mAh), and iPhone 15 Pro Max (4441mAh) in this ULTIMATE Real Life Usage 100%-0% Battery Drain Test?!?

This Giveaway is in collaboration with @versus_com

All Phones are Set to the Exact SAME Brightness Level (Using a LUX Meter). If a phones display looks brighter or dimmer than another, it's due to my studio lighting.

I run through 15 APPS which include System Apps, Media Apps, Social Media Apps, Camera Apps, Benchmark Apps (to simulate High Performance Gaming), and Games. Intervals are clocked at every 30 minutes and at each interval I show the percentage of each phone as well as their temperature in degrees celsius using an Infrared Heat Gun!

00:00 - Intro / GIVEAWAY / LUX Meter Readings / Specs / Settings
01:19 - Battery & Temps at the Start
01:50 - FULL 100-0% Battery Drain Test
12:38 - Final Results (Worst to Best)
13:48 - Temperature Results
13:58 - Results compared to First Time Tested Results
14:26 - Results compared to Predecessors BEST Results
15:13 - Results if all Phones had the same Battery Capacity
15:47 - Outro & Final Thoughts

The Vivo x100 pro is Powered by the 9300 which if I recall has no efficiency cores . The fact that it beats the sd 8 gen 3 in terms of battery life is absolutely insane.

But to charge one plus 12 takes only 20 - 25 minutes .
25 mins for 9hrs is impressive

I have been using my phone fo 3 years 8 months, it supports 27 watt charging and i have used this phone super heavily for these years, now only i have started seeing less SOT i.e 4-5 hrs, i used to get 6-8 hours easily back when this was new.

My point is fast charging doesn't ruin the battery

Next try it with sim cards. It creates a major difference. This isn't the truest representation of the everyday consumer's battery life for these particular devices. Who buys a phone and doesn't use a SIM card with it? The battery life on any of these flagship phones can still be impacted by a SIM card even if it's connected to Wi-Fi.

Thank you Nick, for this amazing video! I love your tests because I can just go back to the old ones and compare without any issues, that's not something other youtubers' tests allow me to do. Besides, you check for temperatures which is vital for everyone!

Props to Vivo and Oneplus for stepping their battery game up this year and matching/beating the S24 Ultra. Everyone gets good battery this year! Oppo should've gone with 5400 or 5500 mah battery since it's a cameraphone but the huge modules affected the cooling obviously so battery had no more space as well it seems. But if Samsung can put an S Pen and have a 5000 mah battery I think Oppo can put in 5400 mah or larger battery, this phone deserves it!

Looking back at your older battery life drain videos, the efficiency gains are real across the board. Very impressive to see how quickly technology advances!

This is more like a real world usage than running benchmarks again and again till the phone dies. Amazing job by the way. Worth the subscribe button. 👍

Can't wait for Pixel 10 with Tensor G5, rumored to be the first fully-custom 3nm Tensor SOC made my TSMC like Apple...

Great videos as always. Can or will you add some "gaming phone" comparison videos in the future, like Red magic, Asus Rog etc?

One thing I would suggest adding is keeping an eye on the internal chip temp, because the cooling systems are designed to pull heat from the chipset out through the screen and body. So a hotter phone on the surface should (in theory) be cooling the chipset better.

I like how a 4441 MaH iPhone has a better battery life than most 5000+ MaH Smartphones. Like that's when you start to notice the importance of optimisation

This guy says that the iPhone is better while leaving the iPhone screen dark while all androids white while testing the temperature…..Also at 9:27 he had the Shazam off on the iPhone for a solid 5 minutes, meaning the microphone wasn’t even in use LMAO…..Clearly an Apple fanboy right here

Edit: Nevermind the fact that the S24 Ultra has a bigger screen, flat edges, higher quality, better refresh rate management, the superior operating system……AND A PEN BUILT INTO THE PHONE……..It’s not even a competition🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

ALSO: The S24 Ultra has a charge port capable of 45W Charging while the iPhone 15 Pro Max has only 25W charging…which is quite behind for that price point lmao…..S24 Ultra is a CLEAR winner because of all of these reasons
