Comparing Duo and Fold is like making comparisons between Wide-screen monitor and double monitor setup and trying to determine which one is definitely better.

I use a Duo. True multi tasking on the go. A shame they didn't properly show off all the Duo's folding modes and the fact you can flip it over for single screen use.

Their closing thoughts are quite close minded and fuddy. Everyone oogles and enjoys trying my Duo when I'm out. Phones can be fun not just functional.

The Duo is the perfect phone for business. The multi tasking possibilities are great and I can really use that phone a a small laptop replacement e.g. in the plane. I use it in scenario's where others would use a tablet for getting small things done. The first generation is also quite cheap second hand now. The Fold however (owned the 3 and now the 4) is a different thing. It is the perfect phone to replace a phone and a tablet. You can multi task, but it is not great indeed. I use the outer screen a lot of times for day-to-day tasks and the inner screen for mainly content related things.
Again they're own class. Duo fits the business market perfectly and the fold is more capable for the average consumer. Although the price tag, after using these folding phones for about 2 years I cannot go back to a regular phone again. I've found soo many use cases for the device...

I think what people miss is the duo isn't solely for media consumption it's a business device and great for multi tasking. I use the duo 2 for all my business needs crypto, investments etc I always have two phones and use a pixel 6 for my texting and calls but for everything else able to watch stock report on one side while researching that particular investment on the other screen. Able to see what coin is jumping on one screen and purchase it on my trust wallet on the other. As well as coping text or typing in a name or a coin or word one side the word or text is up the other side I can type it in the browser or note pad. It's seamless and I've jumped from iPhone 12, s21 ultra to pixel 6 but won't be selling my duo 2 until the 3rd comes out next year. I had the fold 2 and I absolutely loved it but I see that kind of device in a different category then the duo as they are marketed as such. Personally I'd recommend the duo 2 if you need to multi task I watch even this video on it and respond very easy or while I'm watching it I can watch my stocks on the bottom half while it's sitting up. Otherwise if you just like a bigger screen to play games or watch movies or more viewing experience in apps I'd recommend the fold series.

Definitely missed a trick by not highlighting the Fold's "DeX" desktop mode feature by plugging it in to a monitor (can also be done wirelessly) and using it as a true computer. I use my Note 10+ in DeX mode as my primary daily PC connected to a 34" 3440x1440 monitor, keyboard and mouse. No traditional PC required.

I also struggle to see how you determined multitasking on the Fold to be "terrible." Having two apps side by side, with the option of a third, along with the ability to have pop-up windows on top of that still, in what sense is that terrible? The example shown in the video was... odd, considering the Fold was being shown with the camera on top of two browser windows while trying to scan the QR code. The Duo was treated with a single camera app and that's it. That's an apples to oranges comparison. Note how when the Fold was treated the same as the Duo it worked just fine.

Ro solve his fold problem he needed turn on allow multiple use or something and then you can have everything working at the same time
