Strong wind launching with paraglider can be very tricky! Following paragliding pro tips for handling paraglider in strong wind is crucial for survival. How you ground handle and control your paraglider on take off is very important. A lot of times people don’t really understand how wind works?! Lots of paragliding tutorial videos don’t really show where wind is strong and where its weak. Thats why I created this wind map or wind chart for better understanding high wind power zone and low power zone. I learned the power zone when I learned to fly stunt and sport kites after beating S4A cancer and then brain surgery that took my sence of balance away!
When I bought my first wing after brain surgery I didn't know this but I was learning to walk again and I bought my first kite, a Revolution and a 2.5m sport foil kite!
They were both dragging me all over the park until I watched a YT video on the wind power chart and applied it to kiting my wing.
I got off my walker and cane after getting the problem figured out and now I can run and fly and I threw my walker away long ago!
