Try getting 300 rounds of M60 ammo and 500 rounds of M16 ammo and then a case of C rations in there. Need four frag grenades a CS grenade, a claymore mine, a trip flare. Now add a bedroll and some personal gear and you got a rucksack.

I was wondering where you buy all your carabiners? I’ve been having a hard time looking for them.

Hi, Pepsi boi. I'm Corey, and I'm watching your video. I am thinking of subscribing to your YouTube Chanel. I have a question for you, if you can answer it. I have a reproduction of th 1st pattern jungle fatigue shirt, with the 173rd air borne patch sewn on the shirt. And I also have the rank of pfc sewn on my shirt, as a Vietnam re-enactor here in Canada. The group of the Vietnam re-enactors I joined is in country. They are in the province of Ontario, in a place called Windsor. But the guy who formed the group has passed away since. And I'm wondering if I should leave the patches, inciuding the pfc rank on my jacket, or if I should leave them on my jacket. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time. Corey. Corey Hansen from Canada.

Flashlight goes on clipped to rucksack strap opposite of whatever hand you use. Smoke or frag grenade on other strap or side pockets of ammo pouch. Machete with sheath (we had cloth sheaths back then) gets attached perpendicular to side of ruck opposite of whatever hand you use. No beads on helmet, they got caught on branches too easily and made noise. That's how we had it back in the 70's

My dad was USAF medic. He had a choice between an airbase in Nam or Radar Station in Alaska. He was smart hung out with Kodiak Bears instead.

If you ever get a XM28E4 gas mask, don't ever put it in the gas mask pouch. You're likely to break it if you put it in the pouch.

Your Vietnam light weight what, where are the water proof bags that came with the ruck, we also had a rule of thumb that we followed if you can't use it get rid of it.

If ya join up, you can play dress up for real... You get all your TA50 on loan for free and best of all you get modern stuff, not 50 year old stuff. Going to the range and ruck marches are super fun!

They didn’t really wear socks in Vietnam because they got wet and they had no place to dry them

if that is an authentic pack job then I can see how the US lost - you rattle like a half full pill bottle with every step you take

No machetes, two quart canteens in stead of one quarts, C-4 was used to heat C-rats, no heat tabs, damn I almost forgot the 5 quart water blivet, no mess kit they rattled, the rest of your B.S was thrown away because you needed bullets, as for as the C-rats we general keep the main portion of the meal, fruit, and accessory pack the rest was trashed. In sort why would you hump around trash you're not going to eat.

I wonder the motivation is to buy this junk. If I was a betting man we didn’t receive half this stuff, in armor, had no underwear, received uniforms in a bale to rummage through. If you were a unit deployed from US you may get this equipment. You wore no badge of rank or patches and you were dirty all the time. If you were in the rear with gear, you may have some.

That’s a tropical ruck not a light weight
