There's a leaked conversation before the match between Nakamura and Carlsen online. Carlsen DM'd Nakamura and said, "Do you want to make Agadmator sad?", and Nakamura replied, "yes."

I won't lie, seeing Hikaru and Magnus have an honest match is always exciting and enjoyable, but not nearly as enjoyable as seeing that two people who have devoted their lives to one thing can still meme with each other and have some fun in a game that's taken far too seriously.

Kinda disappointed by agadmator's reaction. Maybe he forgot that chess is a game played by human beings who have complex emotions, ideas and a (god forbid) a sense of humour. These players are more than gladiators in some arena to satiate our lust for bloodshed. They will play hundreds more games together for our viewing pleasure, and frankly they don't owe us anything.
