In my opinion, it's strongly implied that Michelle thought about it and decided to kill Wyatt (despite knowing what her children would do), realizing that their "church" was just a nonsense. Or maybe he abused her again and she decided to report him definitively. The "church" later disbanded due to this scandal. Or maybe Landon took another young wife who, however, was less influenceable and had him arrested. The only bad thing is that whatever happened, among them, it happened offscreen.

This type of lifestyle/religious ideology shows that our very country is illiterate. Because the politicians refuse to add limitations to the amendments that were granted by our founding fathers. If we could put into the first amendment you are not allowed under freedom of religion to create a cult and to marry children under the age of 18 to somebody that's older than 18. That's what our country needs to do but because they're illiterate they refused to do so. This stuff is disgusting but our country doesn't want to solve it they allow it to continue to fester.
