If you have to buy a 600$ hammer drill you might as well just buy a gas powered firewood splitter

I used a 1/2" Milwaukee hammer drill. The bit got stuck in the wood, pulled the drill out of my hand and spun around the power cord on the bit and shorted out the drill. These bits will only work under the strictest parameters. Even the stars have to be in perfect alignment for this to work as intended. Not recommended.

I bought one of these to split very short (6" long) oak "logs" into kindling size for my pizza oven. Works fine for this sort of stuff, but be aware of this: the bit screws onto the shank, so you cannot back it out if it gets stuck in a larger log!

Save your money! This drill bit isn’t worth the money they’re asking for it!

Doesn’t work at all. All it does is drill a hole in the wood. Doesn’t split it.

hello good evening, listen, I would be interested in this conical wood splitter tip, I would just like to ask you 2 things ..The first I have a normal 700 watt black Decker drill, as a conical tip should I buy the ROUND? , second thing which one should I buy for my drill the 32MM or the 42MM? I await the answer .. thanks ...

i noticed that the important part was out of view and wasn't explained. that was the heavy duty drill. i was just going to order a drill splitter but I'm smarter than that. now that i see its a gimmick i'll just keep using my ax and a wedge and hammer. you would be better off using an electric jackhammer with a sharpened wedge bit.

Bought one, and used it with my pretty standard drill. It immediately got stuck, and the drill couldn't turn it. Had to use my splitting axe to get the drill loose…. If the ax could laugh, id have been laughed out of the garage.

Doesn't work 100% on real Australian wood. Minus 10

It works on soft wood that has sufficiently dried.

I saw another video where this didn’t work at all. I think it depends on if you have a really strong drill. Not your typical hardware store drill.

Ya but you can see there's already slices in it before he drills
