I am guessing that the reason for so many entries being even is that they are binomial coefficients, meaning that they are a large factorial divided by two smaller factorials. That means that the quotient will tend to retain at least one factor of 2.

Do this in 3 dimensions with spheres and you get the most efficient stacking method of cannonballs if you are on Jupiter juggling quarks while eating a PB&J when you stack them.

Fun fact about Pascal's Triangle!
Ignoring the first set of 1s, take xⁿ-(x-1)ⁿ = yx^a - yx^a... where a is n-1 down to 0 and y is the nth row of Pascal's Triangle, alternating - and + until 1!:
2n - 1 for ^2
3n² - 3n + 1 for ^3
4n³ - 6n² + 4n - 1 for ^4

It's all because of the recurrence formula. Odd + odd = even, even + even = even, odd + even = odd. All the edges are odd, and the moment you get a full row of odds you end up with a full row of evens later on, which will stay even until the odds on the edges have propagated back to the middle, in which case you're going to have alternating odds and evens, then full odds, and full evens again.
