Adventure Country Tracks Greece (full movie)

With ACT Greece, the second destination of the »Adventure Country Tracks« project has been worked out. Adventure bikers with a joy of discovery can experience a lot of riding fun on this varying route across Greece and get to know entirely new facets of this country.

Adventure Country Tracks (ACT) always cross one country. The routing is designed to connect as many unpaved tracks as possible. But also a few asphalted side roads are part of an ACT route.

This concept does not only provide a lot of riding fun for adventure bikers, it also allows the traveler to discover the less known facets of the country beyond the well-trodden paths.

After Portugal, ACT Greece is the second destination of the Adventure Country Tracks project. More countries are supposed to follow with routes being developed in the same fashion for travelers with a joy of discovery.

You can find the tracks and some basic information for free on the ACT website. Users receive a reliably worked out route, serving as a guideline for their own tours. Since the route can be varied randomly, according to everyone’s personal schedule, the character of an individual journey will be preserved.

Adventure Country Tracks was initiated by Touratech; numerous companies of the European motorcycle industry support the project.

Great Vid ! We use to follow the TET for our adventure trips but we often had to backtrack because it’s not always suitable for big trail bikes. We then did the ACT Pyrenees this summer and it is just what we were looking for !! Perfect.
As a side note : I understand that there are not a lot of flat terrain areas up in the mountains but I’m not sure a river bed is the best spot to spend the night. Storms are frequent and unpredictable, you are at risk of flash flooding and loose your gear, bikes or even life.

75 years ago in the same Greek mountains, ELAS Partizans (the largest partisan movement in Europe) chased Germans soldiers in warior battles. Today (75 years later), Germans, Greek, Portuguese Riders, with German, Italian, and Japanese motorbikes rejoice riding, deserted streets and they taste the unpolluted nature.
This is a peaceful coexistence. This is a real life, its magic, its blessing & cheering riding.

Inspired by this great movie and the possibility to download the GPS data of the tracks I rode the tracks of Day 1-3 about about 2 weeks ago with my F800GS (TKC70 tires) and my girl friend as passenger.
We had perfect weather conditions, but due to heavy rain in winter and spring most of the tracks seemed to be more washed out than in the movie.
Also the two brooks we had to cross had a higher water level. It was a real adventure for us and absolutly great!!!
Many thanks to Touratech for making it possible to enrich our holidays in Greece with this experience!
Next year we will do the tracks of day 4 and 5...

Keine Langweiligen Stellen im Video, und doch auch mit viel Realismus geprägt.
