They are very similar but the one thing I like about the ATP over the Racer is with the ATP you can easily distinguish a bottle cap and pull tab by using the Iron Audio button, it is amazing and saves digging rusty caps and some pull tabs.

use both detectors with the standard coil. the MR2 wins on depth and recovery. but the AT Pro is waterproof. time for a waterproof Makro Racer 3

Nice video, but I didn't realize the AT Pro had the smaller DD on until I read the comments.   I'd like to see your test done on the Racer, leave the sensitivity on 98, ID filter on 10, but do the same test using AM, 2-tone, 3-tone and beach modes with your results breakdown at the end.  Thansks & HH!

You need to put the stock coil back on the at pro it goes deeper than that 5x8 coil you have on. Then re do the test....

You used the AT small coil on the test. Not to criticise but I think you should of used the big coil. Just to make it even. But good video my friend and HH!

LOL Everyone can see, you have the small 5x8 coil on the AT Pro.That just not a fair test.it needs to be the original 8.5x11" DD Coil.. Then #`s will change around.. Also..The AT Pro coil want not hooked up..and it was doing really good that way..wait until you hook it up and see what it will do...LOL

How would I like to have a metal detector, bass is great but too bad when you can not afford yourself a metal detector ...

The Pro is a better detector..  I have found almost $2500 in clad in the past 3 years!
