Ok, brians pathological douchines aside. I kinda feel for him in this moment. He had finally written something he was proud of and he wanted the only person who he truly gives a damn about to cherish it. Even in a mundane ways such as attending his reading or keeping it on his shelf. And stewie tried to get rid of it.

TBH, I thought Stewie did this because of how Brian treated him when he hit the "big time", it was a number of seasons ago but it was a key part in Brians downfall as a character. Brian didn't even apologize correctly.
