for anyone wondering, here is joey's animal list (in chronological order):
- Wolf (male husky, rescued from craigslist (?) as puppy)
- Storm (male husky, white, adopted from a rescue as puppy, lives w Daniel)
- Lark (female husky/german shepherd mix, adopted from a rescue as puppy (?), lives w Daniel's mom)
- Lark had babies, seven of them (Red, Teal, Lavender, Pink, Yellow, Green, Blue)
- Moon (male husky, kept one of lark's babies-Teal)
- Shadow (male husky, J&D tried to keep Lark's baby Red, but Moon & Shadow struggled with littermate syndrome so Shadow was rehomed like the others)
- Sakura (black female pregnant rescue cat) (kept her)
- Sakura's kittens, the zodiac litter (Gemini, Taurus, Aquarius, Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)
- Azula (female foster cat, was pregnant but lost the litter)
- Hen (foster mama from junkyard)
- junkyard pups (Duck, Goose, Shark, Otter, Bear, Moose)
- foster mama dog Roo
- Roo's litter (Hare, Tiger, Bison, Panda, Raccoon, Monkey)
- Daenerys (white foster mama kitty)
- D's kitties, the Greek Goddess litter (Athena, Persephone, Aphrodite, Nemesis, Rhea)
- took care (for a couple of days) of a mama duck and her 9 babies that wandered into his backyard and got stuck
- May (foster mama husky)
- May's babies, the Months litter (January, February, March, April, June, July, August, September, October, November, December)
- Coco (husky foster mama pt2, false pregnancy, surrogate to Disney pups)
- husky babies abandoned in box (Disney litter--Copper, Pluto, Bolt, Scar, Bruno, Darla)
- Daisy (husky foster mama pt3)
- Daisy's babies (flower/tree litter; Goldie, Lilly, and Daphne didn't make it; Ash, Cyprus, Oren)
- Lacey/Onyx (black & white foster kitty mama)
- Lacey/Onyx's kittens, gem litter (Opal, Pearl, Peridot, Flint, Mica, Jasper)
- 4 blind Frenchies (Mike Wazowski, Baby Jack-Jack, Linguini, Lea Michele)
- Monty had puppies, sounds like backyard breeding (12, white/Snowball-stillborn, red/Griz, yellow/Woods, orange/Buck, aqua/Huckleberry, blue/Timber, green/Bow, light pink/Winter, lime/Fern, black/Aspen, dark pink/Yarrow, purple/Twig)
- Hunter (female golden retriever, kept one of Monty's babies-Yarrow)

*Montana/Monty (female golden retriever) is often in videos; she is Daniel's (Joey's ex) dog, but often comes to Joey doggy daycare
*the babies are usually adopted by other people (other than Moon) and then renamed! some of them have instagrams and have shared their new names/stories, but I'm not including those here
*I first created this list a long time ago and add to it every time Joey takes in a new animal...because I have it saved I just copy/paste it onto every (I try, but it's more like "most") animal-related video he posts, so no, it actually doesn't take a lot of my time or effort. I just like lists. Thank you to everyone who is giving thanks about the amount of effort though haha!

Watching this video while I have Hunter's sis next to me, and while you were doing Hunter's voice while trying to get her to pee outside, Yue looked up and was so intrigued. So adorable!

Joey, a tip could be to put her crate in the pen. That way she gets comfortable in her bed in the crate and once she’s potty trained you can take the pen away ! Worked like a charm for my lab

I love the name "Hunter " so her. She is a very playful puppy 🐶 too cute. Uncle moonie and Montana are so close that they are bonding very well and so also hunter ❤️

You should put some sort of cover on her crate! It helps them feel safer

you should put a toy or something with her when you put her in a crate it helps with a lot of things and helps keep her busy when she gets bored.

I think it is absolutely wonderful how much time, effort, and care is put into taking care of these animals and especially the rescues that are fostered….that said- seeing first hand all the animals that are abandoned, abused, or neglected why would anyone allow more animals to be brought into the world ie…Lark and Monty’s puppies. Just seems counter-productive to all the rescue work being done. As an animal lover and rescuer the only way to stop the cycle of unwanted animals is by getting them fixed so those animals that need a loving home have a chance.

I think there’s a lot of benefits to crate training! I failed at that with my dog and regret it. It helps if I ever have to board her or if she were to ever have to stay at a vet for a medical procedure.

I’m so excited Joey that you named Yarrow Hunter. As I said before that is my almost 2-year-old grandson‘s name but I’ve also heard a couple of little girls with that name so it’s a great name that’s very common these days but still sticks with your whole Natural seam going on with Montana and well I just love it. I just love it! I also love watching her trying her ever loving best to get involved with the two dogs and I am telling you she’s just growing up so fast. I bet she’s going to give you some great long naps if you let her keep playing like that. Love you Joey and all of your beautiful for babies you just keep on doing all the beautiful things you’re doing you’re content is lovely. So is your heart. Joey if you put a cover or blanket over the crate it creates a comforting dark space for them

Try putting the pee pad outside for her to pee on and eventually she’ll understand she is to pee outside. This happen to us with our puppy that was trained to go on newspaper in the house. It was too cold to take her outside during winter in Canada so come spring she didn’t understand to go on the lawn. We put the newspaper outside, holding it down with rocks to keep it from blowing away. We also removed the paper from the house and made sure we put her outside to pee every 2-3 hours and before bed. We crated her at night and she never had an issue. We kept making the newspaper pee area smaller until finally she just went on the grass. We always took her to the same area to pee and poop so her smell was there. Hopefully, this was somewhat helpful. Hunter is a smart puppy so she will figure it out quickly. Good luck!

Joey may I suggest that every time you take Miss Hunter out to potty you ring a bell you have attached to your door knob with a long piece of twine. I have use this method several time with my dogs. It's so cute when people are over and hears the bell and you say oh it's my baby needing to go potty.
