I bought this 6 years ago..the air trapping mechanism is a big failure. In less than an hour of inflation the bed is shrinked by 20 percent and in 5 hours to 40% with no punctures. So now using it unless it's a real emergency..and to inflate it time to time in between. Also to mention it wobbles from side to side. Only Pros is the inflation and deflation part.its an ease and the quality of the material used is not bad. Good height and suits a grown adult of upto 6 feet of height.

Can you fill the mattress with an external pump?

I would love to see the part where you deflate the mattress and put it back in the box....it’s not so easy
