hi i made this in like a few hours but anything for dovewing my beloved

this is about dovewing realizing that all everyone sees of her is an annoying, childish replacement for someone they all loved and respected (aka hollyleaf) and at the end she finally snaps
(you know its kind of funny because the fandom also interprets her as a hollyleaf replacement)

so many people turned dovewing into someone who's perfect and has no struggles, and almost every time she does have struggles it's ivypool being mean to her for ivypool's character development- which really bothers me, so i decided to cut out ivypool entirely.

Dovewing doesn't deserve the hate she gets, she just wanted to be happy and make people happy. I love her so much but she just never gets any respect. I feel like squirrelflight and dovewing are some of the most real cats in the books. They tried their best but nobody, not even life, was on their side.

I really wish the books touched on this. Jay, but especially lion show just such contempt for dovewing. They don't care about her as a cat, just her part in the prophecy, and furthermore the part the two would have rather been held by Holly. It almost is a theme with dovewing. All the cats who are around her only want to get something out of her. Use her in a prophecy, have her bear their kits, even ivypool got upset when she happened to show her up. And when you look at it through this lense it makes more sense that she would get with tiger heart someone who doesn't gain much by falling in love with her, until he uses her for herbs, which is when we see her decline. But ultimately it is his tenacity that wins her over, him trying to prove he does love her.

maturing is realising dovewing was just behaving normally for someone in her situation and that ivypool was def the one in the wrong sometimes 😇

Honestly I always liked Dovewing but man is she sad to think about. She never got to be a kit/apprentice like the Three did bc she got the prophesy as a Literal Infant. She's always been pushed to Be Something for her clan. Be it the saviour of all of them or just Hollyleaf 2 to Jay and Lion.

I'm glad she gets a cat husband that loves her for who she is and not what she is. But man, it must hurt to see Shadowsight getting tossed around by starclan like she was as a kit.

TL;DR: We lovewing Dovewing in this household

Id like to interpret this as a reason why dove left thunderclan, cause at least in shadowclan shes not a replacement for someone everyone knew, shes her own person.

YES THIS IS THE DOVEWING CONTENT I LOVE! It’s not her fault Starclan decided she was one of the three and not Hollyleaf. She has to deal with feeling like a replacement who everyone despises. She feels like she doesn’t belong (hence why she agrees to go to Shadowclan where she isn’t a replacement) I love this sm <333

I love this! Not sure why Dove gets so much hate, she’s one of my favorite characters! I totally agree on what you said about Ivy. Dovewing in my opinion is under so much pressure about being forced into a prophecy, and she just wants to be normal. She can’t control that she’s in the prophecy and Hollyleaf isn’t. Blame Starclan for that, not her, and the art is beautiful!

Oww that hurts. Poor thing just wanted to feel like part of the group. The designs ahhhh they’re so good especially dovewing’s, she looks like a cute little plushie that no one is playing with. The colors and scenes are splendid to look at and those expressions really rugged on my heart strings. Spectacular job!

Before I read The Fourth Apprentice, I saw all the community praise Ivy and not Dove, so I did the same; I hated Dovewing. Now that I have started reading the book, I think she’s my favourite character now. I hate how everyone glorifies Ivy for being rude to Dove. Even after Ivy shoved away Dove, she still considered Ivy as a good sister she wanted to hang out with. I feel so bad for her and relate so much when everyone doesn’t believe her and start to think she is annoying. Dovewing deserves better :(

I must be a rare breed because I love both sisters. I wish the books handled them better... Anyway, I love this mv, it's so good, the artstyle, the song choice and of course representing something not often seen : dovewing not being very liked even in the story. I feel sad that both sisters got rejected by everyone, even between themselves. I like to imagine their bond stronger than ever after realizing how much they have in common
