Even DARPA use to fund a lot of project in MIT since decades.
We are seeing such developments in india at 2024 by DIA centre of excellence. Let's hope for the best

Great initiative by colleges, but I’m curious how the education system is involved in developing defense products. When students graduate, who continues these projects – do teachers and new students take over? I’ve often heard about IITs assisting with various issues, but I’m not sure how this collaboration actually works. Coming from a regular engineering college, we participated in state or national project competitions, sometimes with sponsorship from private companies, but never encountered anything like this.

Excellent points made in the video. Indigenous production of 80MM rockets should be standardized, and Prachand should use our own rather than imported rockets. This also goes for the maze of missiles used in submarines .. better to just use Brahmos/Nibhay duo rather than the ridiculous current scenario. Dump all foreign munitions. Bharat produces the world's best artillery shells, bullets, ammo of all types, and even armor.

These basic items must be on the Negative Import list.
