Building Angular 2 App With Java EE Backend

Java EE becomes an interesting platform for exposing services for mobile apps. To give you a feeling about the productivity, I installed a CORS filter, implemented, built and deployed a Java EE 7 service from scratch, exposed a JSON-array and rendered the result using the Angular 2 JavaScript framework.

Thank you so much for this. I knew I could setup a spring boot backend and an angular 2 front end, but I was a little uncertain how to connect them. This totally solved the mystery and now I can meld the two. This was an awesome 10 minute crash course that gives me the idea on how to make this happen.

How come you can make this work and render the json array with numbers without a problem when you have no dependency on media-type handlers like jackson nor servlet handling?? Are they part of the servers class-path??
