Another tip. Put your ladder in one of those cheap small blue pools. Put water in it. Your feet are washed off before you enter the pool.

To clean your filter when you bought the pool that came with parts there are these two black parts that you stick inside of the pipe on the inside of the pool that keeps the water from flowing into them and Coleman provides them in the box with the pool

YOU HAVE A VERY NICE POOL. OTHER THOUGHTS TO KEEP IT NICE GO TO THE DOLLAR STORE AND GET A KITCHEN PLASTIC INSERT FOR A FOOT BATH ( BIG HELP TO KEEP POOL CLEAN). ALSO POOL FILTER BALLS WORK SO MUCH NICER THEN SAND. THEY ARE LIGHT WEIGHT AND YOU CAN WASH THEM IN WASH MACHINE ( WITH WASH BAG) AND REUSE THEM UP TO 3 YEARS. THEY ARE CLEANER AND CHEAPER AND DO NOT MAKE BOTTOM OF POOL GRITTY WITH OCCASIONAL SAND PIECES THAT COME IN THRU THE PUMP OVER THE YEARS. JUST SOME ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS FOR EVERYONE. HAPPY SWIMMING

Although I don't disagree with you on any of your upgrades, the skimmer presents an issue for me at least since I usually fill water almost to the top of the blue which defeats the purpose. I do have an Intex skimmer that attaches to the metal framing. Thanks for the video!

Great ideas. How do you like the ladder so far? I was thinking of the same ladder. As for the feet cleaning: keep a garden watering can near the steps. A quick foot rinse with the can; done

So can you upgrade the filter and still keep the smaller hose pipes... I see you have a reduction fitted on your pump but kept the smaller plastic hose rather than using the big one that comes with the pump.

Another tip, add a water fall that hooks up to your pool, add some lights on the outside of pool for night time.

I have done 4 of the same upgrades this year. IF you can only afford do 1-thing, SAND FILTER!!! I live in a rural area, live in the South AND have alot of trees. NOT having to deal with cartridge filters, disposable or reusable has been Wonderful. And since covid….very costly. In August I would have some type of algae issue, but now with sand filter, EVERYTHING has been so much easier!!

We did all of these and they were all worthwhile upgrades but the biggest upgrade we have done is going to saltwater using a pool pilot nano system for around $1000 it will have paid for itself by the end of our second season in not buying chemicals. We are debating adding a heater this year but that is a $7000 project and not for everyone
