considering Qui Gonn could appear to Yoda, it makes you wonder why he never appeared to Anakin.

But here's the thing: At that point in time there was essentially 100+ jedi to each sith. And so, when the movies showed the balancing occurring, it spelt a massive defeat for the jedi so as to have equal quantities of members in each group. So based on that, the alternate events in this seg wouldnt bring balance to the force but rather have Anakin be more in harmony within himself, that is to say in a zen type way.
