And amazing time.

This video was filmed in New Orlean in 1983.

I was twenty three years old, ZZ’s guitarist, and musical director until his death in 1984.

Thanks for posting.

Beautiful footage of this man! Wow, he's got like 15+ musicians with him (that's how to bring a dynamic live sound)! RIP to ZZ HILL: Never forgotten, thanks for your music!

I am enjoying this. My Grandmother is 84 and he is one of her favorites. I have to show her this.

One of my all time favorite songs! I work as a cab driver in Las Vegas, and I play Blues music EVERY NIGHT! I first heard this song back in the 80s, when I went to see comedian Robin Harris (famous for "Bebe's Kids"). This is the song that played as he took the stage. Like ZZ Hill, Robin also died too young.

The biggest blues record of my lifetime (born in 1979) so far. Almost singlehandedly put the genre back on the map and made Malaco a legit player as a record label. Kinda tragic watching this...ZZ had toiled for 15+ years and FINALLY was coming in to his own after Down Home became a big hit. And just a few months after this concert, he was gone.

Wow, I was beginning to think there was no video of ZZ. What an enduring catalog of songs, and so many of them were witty. I particularly love the line from Somebody Else is Steppin In, "I got a new way of wearin' my hair, I got a smile on my face, and you didn't put it there."
