Thinking about becoming a mail carrier once my wife and i move up to Idaho in March.

Your videos have really helped. Appreciate your outlook and perspective.

Other peoples comments and videos had me worried it wasnt going to be as good a job as i thought.

Your videos have helped clear all that up for me.

This is an excellent video. I say this because you're presenting the long game. You just slapped every short-sided person in the face with a dose of reality, and motivation to look at the bigger picture. You can be proud of the work you put in on creating this video. Good job, and thank you!

Been with the po since 05. These past few years have been crazy with OT. I am the only ODL in my office. Since making top step over 5 years ago, I always make more money than our MPOO, postmaster, and supervisors. You will get there soon enough. Keep up the good work!

Honestly so grateful I came across this video, everyone else is saying it’s not worth it but you’re real about it. I have orientation tomorrow so I hope I love it and can make this my career.

Thank you so much for the info I'm 53 years old I've been doing minimum wage jobs for a long time on and off raising my family. My son is a freshman in high school. I want to go back to work full time. And make some real money tired of living paycheck to paycheck. You sound so happy many blessings to you.

I got my CCA job at the office I wanted so I'm happy about that. Manager from my office just called to confirm that I want the job, that I'm aware I might have to lift 70 lbs ( I hope I can!) etc. Was so excited to hear from someone that I got tongue tied & probably sounded like a moron.Just waiting for orientation date.Anyway, I'm very grateful for the job but I gotta say that it kinda sucks that u have to work 12 yrs before u get that top pay. I'm 50, so I might only have 15 yrs of work left. The $ IS still fabulous especially if u don't have a college degree like me & the retirement savings plan sound fantastic! I won't have $500, 000 after 15-20 yrs but I'm grateful to get what I can!have Anyway, I'm so happy to get out of deadend secretary jobs that pay nothing & many times no bennies + having to spend a fortune on work clothes! I've been trying to get into the USPS for 25 yrs & so glad I'm FINALLY in! Sorry for ling msg

I can't emphasize take advantage of TSP immediately because Post office will match your contributions. I know a carrier who retired with over $500, 000 in his account.

Haven’t made anything less than 2k net pay in a while. I love this job. A lot of regulars don’t know how good they have it.

“ You’re not going to be a CCA for life “ i agree Im getting ready to start here in NYC. Definitely something for the moment that’s worth holding onto as a job/career.

Don’t forget 13 days off sick leave, 13 days off annual leave, 11 paid holidays off, that’s almost a month off work every year guaranteed and the annual leave and sick leave increases to 20 days each after 3 years and more after 15

So 50 days off paid or almost two months paid after year 3!!!!

Suffer the first few years and get that RETIREMENT route

Or get a easier/better job now and don’t have the security or comfort later.

Sometime it’s better not to think and just do and let the universe unfold as it should.
