I liked this guy's speech. I regard the stuff he says essentially as common sense. This is lacking nowadays a lot because the world has too much comfort and too many stuff delivered right at one's doorstep.

LATER EDIT: Okay, the part about assistance with all areas of life, including home management, that's not common sense, that's performance sense. Different ball game. :)

That's awesome ! That's the same with me. ! When I got my driver's license to drive a vehicle, it opens up so many more possibilities, opportunities, and also elevates my socioeconomic status. Also, especially as a woman and with mind disabilities, it makes me less vulnerable !I didn't realize how much and what I was missing until I finally did it, and it was really fear that held me back and very erroneous beliefs (like Dan says) cuz I had nothing to fear but fear itself As the saying goes, cuz I'm actually a really good driver! After I got over the hump of fear. I almost make things more challenging cuz it's so boring driving, cuz I got such fast reflexes lol. I guess that's the superpower of ADHD in my brain being able to go a million kilometers an hour (cuz we in Canada).
