As he went to sign the historic Proclamation, the King frantically motioned to an aide to move the pen's box from his desk, which viewers described as far too small for the huge document and stationery. The fountain pen set he used to sign the momentous document was a gift from his sons Princes Harry and William.

This was *very* undignified behavior. I can't imagine Queen Elizabeth showing her teeth and making such a gesture during a public ceremony.

It just shows his personality. If he’s like that in public, just imagine what he’s like to deal with privately. Again, I realize it wasn’t too bad, but when he grinds his teeth like that while making that gesture, it does show he’s a privileged person and is used to other people doing things for him.

What I found the most poignant is how William dealt with it. Charles got angry at the paraphernalia being there, motioning for it to be moved. When William sat down, he moved them himself, and when Camilla was done signing he went back to pop the lid on the ink and straighten the pens. A lot of care, and a massive difference. I wasn't a particular fan of William before, but that little moment seemed huge.
