It lives on other people's ideas, and, although its ordinary people are adaptable, most of its leaders (in all fields) so lack curiosity about the events that surround them that they are often taken by surprise." Horne intended it as a criticism. He believed that Australia had been lucky to develop at a time when it wasn't particularly clever. He was concerned that Australia's good run would not last.

Yo Jesse, one of your videos just popped up on my feed and I think it’s pretty crazy because I remember seeing your videos back in like 2016 or 2017 and buying one of your e-books about getting clients lol wild blast from the past. You were one of the first guys who introduced me to this world. Since then went on to work at Agora and now writing health copy for major supplement brands. Video sales letters and funnels. Anyway, I found it pretty cool to see your face again after all this time. It made me remember one of the bullets you wrote for that e-book I bought — something about getting noticed by every single person at an event and becoming an instant authority. The pay off was raising your hand during a presentation and standing up to introduce yourself as a copywriter before you ask a question. I think its more like 'U dont have to wither where you're planted'! I too grew up in Sydney. Went to uni in the US decades ago. Stayed and glad I did. Cheaper cost of living, friendlier people, more opportunities, way more optimism and variety. People here make an effort with friendships. Best of luck to u

Hello from Florida. One of these days I plan to stay in Australia for 3 months or so, like rent an apartment or condo for 3 months, just to get a small taste of life there.
