Liked to see Griots new Ceramic speed shine. I saw a few test and its seems pretty durable to some torture test but no long term. I started to use it and it has very good hydrophobics.

Top 5 ceramic coatings in order you recommend? Protection and longevity, DIY with proper prep work.

I mentioned Phoenix EOD Kronos before, and forgot about McKees 37 graphene ceramic coating. Chelsea's a big fan of the McKees, it'd be nice to see how it does.

Awesome job Scott keeping up with the updates we all appreciate it, I'm seriously like glued to my phone each week for the ding to see if it's your vids 🤣🤣

I do have a product suggestion, malco has CR2, a ceramic infused sio2 spray, a malco rep dropped it off a few weeks ago and said it can b used as a topper on existing coatings or on its own, I've used it with ease on one vehicle so far but would b curious of the durability

Scott can’t wait to see how long some of these coatings will last actually have TEC 585 on two vehicles that one bottle coded a crew cab truck and a four-door Malibu The Malibu sits out 24 /7 it has been on the vehicle now for 4 months it’s still holding up quite well but I do you use a drying aid when I dry vehicle off and I’m sure that is putting some protection on top of the Coding to make it last longer but I still have good cleaning properties on both vehicles thanks again for all the hard work you do

Just checked the spreadsheet and 2 old-timers (but goodies) that I don't see listed (not coatings, as they're both sealants) are Finish Kare 1000P, and Sonax Polymer Net Shield. The 1000P is listed as a wax, but it's actually a synthetic sealant that can last through crazy amounts of heat. The Sonax PNS may be the best hydrophobic sealant out there, possibly giving the coatings a run for the money. Sadly though, neither is as easy to apply as say something like Griot's Ceramic 3 in 1.
For the two sealants listed above, I get a good 6 to 9 months of longevity in northern NY (better than I got from Gyeon Mohs 🤔).

Love your channel. Glad you included Proje and have used that product - curious on how long it lasts for you. I usually re-apply every 12 months.

It would be nice to see, with all products, your opinion on level of difficulty to apply. For instance, Proje is very easy to apply and remove verses Nano Bond 9H is difficult to use.

Scott have you, in the past, looked at gloss readings or inspect under good lighting at the end of a longevity test to determine which coatings are more protective of the paint correction and polishing? Curious how they would test long term vs the control sections and vs their initial measures after application and curing.

Sonax Polymer Netshield on it own and then another area, Sonax Polymer Netshield topped with Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer would be interesting to see. The Polish Angel line of sealants would be another product I'm sure many would like to see tested as well.

On most coated cars, many car owners would use watermark removers, tar removers and occasionally, a bit of APC to do spot removal of stains.

On such longer-term coatings, if not frequently washed, roughness could be an issue to many owners who might wanna use claybars or perhaps 1 round of machine polishing.

Perhaps you can consider incorporating this into your test.

Thank you

I would hate to add more work but would you consider mentioning if you notice any visible gloss increase or any visual change you see on the coatings

Scott loving all your vids and am especially looking forward to the result on the layer testing. Was curious if you could do a video on how impactful various level of prepwork makes to coating longevity. Maybe something like just washed vs washed/decon/clayed vs what was previously mentioned + one stage polish vs 2 stage polish vs 3 stage vs 3 stage and a primer like dr beasley primer or feynlabs primer. Also it would be cool to see gloss hold on future test to see what products holds gloss longer after several washes.

So little is used for the test, what do you do with the remainder? Just curious. These tests are Great.

Great content as always! I was wondering if you have thought about doing any how to videos for ceramic coatings. For example, is it possible to apply outside of a controlled environment? Also another idea would be to test pads and compounds. Thanks again.
