*ABOUT DAVID GILMOUR*

A Cambridge friend of Syd Barrett, David joined Syd, with Roger Waters, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason, in Pink Floyd in early 1968, only for Syd to leave the group five gigs later. Pink Floyd's subsequent huge worldwide success continued after Roger Waters' departure in 1985, with the albums A Momentary Lapse Of Reason and The Division Bell both charting at No. 1 in the UK and the US, and sell-out world tours. Rattle That Lock released in 2015 and David’s 4th solo album, went to No. 1 in 13 countries. In 2017, Live at Pompeii released as a live album and film which was recorded at the Amphitheatre of Pompeii.

~ For all these years, I never knew he was a sax player as well.

David Gilmour's music is so intoxicating, it's only legal for medicinal purposes in 43 states.

This somehow embodies everything I love about DG as a guitar player. His technique on guitar isn't on a virtuoso level, but it's everything he needs it to be. Every note is perfectly placed. On saxophone, his technique is simple---even rudimentary---but that impeccable note choice and phrasing still wins the day.

I love seeing a performer who has mastered their instrument show their skill, but Gilmour has mastered *music* in a way that is beyond instruments. Once he is able to play a scale, he can make beautiful music on any instrument. This is what I aspire to on all the instruments I play.

I love this man so much. His music has brought me back up when I was at the lowest point in my life. The pure emotion he evokes for each and every note on any instrument he plays is surpassed by none and nor will it ever be. Hope he is surrounded by all the love and happiness he so rightfully deserves.

I played this song on a car trip with my parents and my mother said that I should change it because it sounds like funeral music. I had to change it, but it saddens me to know that she didn't know how to appreciate this work of art.

this saxophone literally cries, at the end of the song this saxo found peace and it calmed down because it finally told us everything about his pain, its story, i could really understand it, even accepted his pain and suffering as part of me so i also found inner peace, thank you My Master David to be the beautiful soul who can channeling the feelings of this saxophone, you were the medium which this wonderful instrument found itself and liberate its pain. Now i am thinking if this story is backwards.

This is and has to be the most beautiful and incredible sax solo piece I’ve ever heard, it’s warming and yet it could be considered quite haunting too.
Either way, Dave hits it right out of the park, to the dark side of the moon and back.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤

Все услышали детский гомон на заднем фоне гениальной композиции?
Я уже старик, 1965 г.р., вспоминаю свой двор и счастливое детство.
Спасибо, Дэвид, Вы гениальны, навсегда войдёте в Историю и не только музыки.
