More Potty Training Rewards Without Candy (Great for Special Needs kids)
Показать описание
This is the Part 3 to the potty training video series I’ve been doing.
For starters, Zoe is not a typical potty trainee; she’s 12, and she has autism, cerebral palsy, and Moebius Syndrome. The Moebius syndrome causes facial paralysis, which really complicates eating. She has some tongue movement, and she can chew, but it’s more work for her. It’s also not second nature to her, as it is to most of is when we’re born. She’s in feeding therapy to help with that.
But for now, what that means, is that motivating her to ask to use the potty with candy is not an option for us, so we had to be creative. And this is working for us.
So we started with printable charts we found free online and some stickers. It didn’t take long for Zoe’s excitement about the stickers being the reward to wane, and she wanted a prize for finishing each chart.
Share in the comments what has worked for you and your kiddo!⬇️ Let’s help each other.
I hope this is helpful. Please follow me for more like this. And check out Part 1 and 2 if you haven’t already.
