"vanished into thin air" no, the parents just weren't watching their kids. I'm not saying it's the parents' fault, but the kids didn't disappear. They were lured away and murdered, and none of them saw it happen.

I didnt even forget about it. When I watched the movie I was like “where TF is the news report?”. Not only that, but this scene made me even more excited for the movie. I wa disappointed when it wasn’t there. But the book has the scene, and this is how it goes. After maxs death, Mike tries to give Abby the badge but she doesn’t care so he hides it and goes to his room. He gets out his laptop and searches for “a missing children’s incident” and watches this news report until he hears a loud bang.

It's such a shame that the deleted scenes got deleted. Each deleted scene would've made the movie MUCH better! But a good amount of them (Not all since some of them was just general character development) were deleted so it would keep the PG-13 rating and that's so sad. I really hope the 2nd film learns from this mistake. I also hope the 2nd film is longer so they won't feel like they'll have to trim down scenes.

They took it out because they didn't want to confirm 5 kids were murdered. Because the kid that is Golden Freddy is going to be revealed to be Afton's son and was not killed with the MCI in the movie.
