Nice! Very complete guide! Just to add, there is a kind of strip, usually on the tag under the New Era label, that shines and changes color on light exposure (if I'm not wrong, you missed that on the video). A friend of mine gave me a hat from the LMP (Liga Mexicana del Pacífico), just have the New Era label and the size label (of course the sticker is as legit quality as my others New Era hats), but the tag it's kind of a custom mexican care instructions tag, although, there is that shiny strip. I think this could be another example for a way to know different legit hats.

You didn't tell the most important thing, on the tag where it is written from what material it is made, there is a strip with a hologram under the sweat tape, this is only on the original!

I know this is old but is it possible the batter man on the back is normal size/spacing but horrible IE square top of helmet with everything else checking out good?

I have all customs from hat club or topperz but I notice the batter man on the back is horrible on most of them

So the Inside Materiel & Region Made Tag Doesn’t Have the Hologram Stitch across the Bottom of the tag ? For an OG, The China hats & Bangladesh have the hologram stitch, but I Sometimes don’t see it

If you put the size sticker under a black light a new era flag logo will appear.

So check this out. I am good with dropping $45 on a new era hat. Sometimes the first thing that I do is get a seam ripper and remove that new era flag badge off the side, especially if it doesn't match the color of the big logo on the front. Plus, I feel that it's my hat and I dont advertise for corporations that operate sweat shops. New Era is so inconsistent with the quality of product that it's a gamble every time I purchase a new hat. There are tons of knock offs on the internet. Sometimes, just sometimes I feel the knock offs are a better fitting and better quality than the so called authentic. Best hat ever produced was the franchise by Twins Enterprise before 47' came along and started producing complete shit.

The button varies. If it is an onfield hat used in MLB there should be new era on flag at the button else there should be none.
