Trilingual Pianist Talks About Music and Language

In this video, I, a English, Japanese, Korean speaking pianist, talk about similarities and differences between music and languages. This comparison has deepened my understanding of both subjects and how one should approach both learning and performing music and languages. Since this is an underlying concept to everything I do in music (and languages), this may give you better understanding of my other contents. Thank you for saying that while starting as a child is an advantage - it's not a must. I have just started learning piano (seriosuly, I am 2 weeks in) and I am 35 years old. I have had many people say I can't do it because I am not a child. Unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to do things as a child but I do now so I am making the most of it.
