When I dont have bios option, it throws me to setup screen and it says "computer setup, 1.21" and theres no Sata mode please help :C

Mr. Guzman - If you were in my area I would buy you dinner. I kept formatting the hdd on another computer To try to get it to work. In my anger & frustration I LUCKILY came to this video (Thank God). I never heard of this situation but glad you helped me. Again thanks. I now have my XP up & running.

Thanks, helped a lot. On Lenovo T60 there is no IDE mode, just select the Compatibility mode instead. Works like a charm.

In my laptop this is on "advanced options", not in "main". And it worked, so thanks!!!

I had this problem with my toshiba laptop.
Toshiba doesnt have IDE MODE, instead its got COMPATIBILITY,
And i chose compatibility and it worked.
Good luck to ppl who own toshibas...

Thanks! My laptop dont have the IDE Mode option to chose, but i just disabled the AHCI mode, and it works.

Thank you sir 🙏🏼... it worked for me ... my laptop is Dell precision m4500 .. and the selection must be ATA (equal to IDE)

You just saved a Compaq 6710b from the bin. Thanks! (changed the SATA Native Mode, but it's the same thing)

sir, i am installing winxp pro, but it is stucked on the message..(Examining 76346 MB DISK 0 AT ID 1 ON BUS 0 ON ATANI...)
my hard disk is of 76346 mb(80gb) please..give me an appropriate solution.

what is the difference between this two modes that you change in BIOS?

in the other word what is the main difference between IDE mode and AHCI mode?

hello sir,
I had windows xp running on my laptop.
To experiment i completely formatted the harddisk to ext 2 and installed kali linux.
now i am trying to install back windows xp and the hard disk is not seen...
any suggestions???
