Exactly how you should wash a bike when you have free parts

I promise as a pro mechanic punters care much more about their bikes than seasoned racers are let alone the pros for a lot of reasons

When you buy it with your own money you never wash it like this.

Well unless if ur a world tour athlete sponsored by a bunch of companies that will constantly supply with new parts for free, i wouldnt mind jet washing my bike cause i get new free components from sponsors

This is so cool to watch. Got my precious BMC spring of 21 and I put more miles on it per week than my Jeep. But the only maintenance I do is pump up the tires 😝so I tried to go about cleaning it yesterday, and realized very quickly I was out of my league lol. So took to bike shop and they’re going to take the drive train totally apart and put in their parts washer! Plus bleed my brakes whatever that means since I have to squeeze them 3x to actually get a stop, and abunch of other “take care “ Stuff for my bike. The bike was too pricey and too much risk IMO for me to try to hard core clean it myself. I know it’s lame of me to not do myself but dang, they set me up with a loaner new Trek for my inner city houston commuting, which I’m digging right now, and I’ll get my BMC in 5 days practically in new condition😊 cost some money but es ok, I’ve saved so much doing 99% of my commuting on my BMC. I love bikes

Because pros only use the bike for a couple of weeks and then it is completely dismantled and reassembled. An ordinary cyclist should never use a pressure hose

35 години карам без да почиствам, ползвам най-евтините компоненти и направо ги сменям с нови, ако измия велосипеда ще ми го откраднат веднага, до сега нямам кражба, защото е много мръсен и евтин

Unless there's gravel stuck to my bike, I never wash it now that I wax my chain. The bike gets 500mi a month of commuting. Too much grease gets washed out, just from a regular hose, so it isn't worth it to me just to make the paint look clean. The bike is aluminum, so it won't rust, and the wax keeps the drivetrain clean. Washing is overrated unless the bike is muddy af.

What's the park tool number of that paint brush?

So how do you wash the rear wheel and cassette?

When you and the riders both don't own the bikes, do this.

I don't think 1500 psi is enough, crank it to 3500 psi and get the job done.

Considering all the bearings and bottom bracket would be replaced regularly, it makes no sense to worry about some direct water contact lol

Anyone know what bike stand he is using?

you can do it like this if you need the bike for just some races

They have advantage of having pressurized water dirt comes off easily because of strong pressure impact meanwhile me washing it with a no pressure water just normal hose
