Significant lake effect snow is impacting the Erie, Pennsylvania region as thousands are trying to return home post Thanksgiving. Many vehicles including semi trucks can be seen stuck stranded across the region. Travel is very difficult along area interstates 90 and 79, one family can be seen having to abandon their vehicle. No removal efforts are already underway, with many outshoveling, snow blowing, and clearing the streets. Up to 4 feet of snow is likely here by Sunday.

As a veteran of snowstorms, there is only one thing worse than being in a snowstorm, and that is being broke down with a vehicle in a snowstorm. At 68 years old, I have warned many a person if you are in a safe place when a storm hits stay there and be thankful that you are in a safe place.

I'm just west of Erie in Conneaut, Ohio. It's the same here. More than knee-high snow in about 12 hours and it's not letting up at all. Spent 2 hours shoveling my driveway and there's nearly 6" of snow in the first spot I shoveled. Stay safe out there, everyone.

Been moving this snow since 7:30 this morning. Finally got a break. Going back out to hit it hard in about an hour. Not sure I have ever seen so much so fast!

I live in Canada, about 30 miles north west of Toronto . The perception always is that Canada gets this sort of thing all the time . Havent seen anything more than extremely light flurries, with no ground accumalation
My American friends east of any of the great lakes are some of the toughest people I know !!!

Thank God for retirement! I don't have to worry about trying to get to work on time then worrying all day about trying to get home.

Being in Massachusetts around Bellingham, we have been getting basically no snow for years. I miss the snow so much and yes I love it, makes me want to move amongst other reasons.
