Getting a riven for this thing, my friends laughed, which only encouraged me to build it and max this weapon out. Truly a diamond in the rough, a far cry from its memed former self.

I only noticed recently that for some reason, a lot of the old beam weapons with high status are actually weirdly strong right now.

Laser scissors. This weapons was very awful at the beginning when they made all beam weapons tick once per second and apply status once per second. But now its a beast, though probably not as Primary Gaze.

this is one of my favourite weps ... i got a riven with 5 punch through and 200% damage :O combined with its unique mod that doesnt spend ammo until it hits an enemy :P so yeah i use this weapon alot for years.

and then i combine it with mirage too lol

This weapon is pretty good these days, it's just a shame the alt fire is useless and uses more ammo than the main fire, so its multi target potential is hampered.

I have a CC, fire rate, Damage, and harmless negative riven for this bad boy. Absolutely destroys everything

That altfire could take some intelligent limiter to the width based on enemies in reachable range

Back when this thing was about as useful as a blunt pair of scissors my best friend and I unveiled some rivens, I got a khom riven and he got a convectrix riven. I traded him since he loves the khom and he is still using the same roll I got on it all these years later. Shame I didn't save that convectrix riven, it might have been interesting to try out now.

Tbh, my favorite shotguns are the Kuva Hek (single target) and Phantasma and Convectrix (status weapon)

All of these weapons leave the convectrix in the dust. Not even a contest
