I fell in love with him and the entire Sound of Music cast at 9 years old. I think the dance scene in the dark with Julie Andrews was the most exquisite and breathtaking romantic scene I’ve ever seen in a movie. And it’s still my favorite romantic scene to this day.

I will never forget a quote of his in the Sound of Music when the Baroness asked him "Hellooo. You're far away. Where are you?"
He sadly answered " In a world that's slowly disappearing."
How prophetic for 2021.

Another cultural icon gone. "The Sound of Music" debuted when I was in high school, and it seemed like one girl in every three had a crush on Plummer. I always enjoyed his performances, especially "Somewhere in Time" and "Star Trek 6." R.I.P., Christopher. Thanks for the memories.

Chris was a fine actor with a presence and aura that transcended film, a true leading man of the first order. I shall always remember him with the lovely brilliant Julie Andrews dancing the Laendler in the epic masterpiece Sound of Music. RIP

He was underrated as an actor! I saw him in several films, and he was always absorbed by the character he played. Where are such acting skills today? He had 91 years and I hope all of them were good. Farewell, Christopher!
