Thank you for your insightful review. I enjoyed the extra touch. I do have an issue with the materials and I wonder if you felt the same? I blind bought the black pair (Trompe l'oeil) and I was disappointed to find that the upper feels like pleather (and not real or quality leather). Unfortunately the Reebok care card that came with it does list the upper as synthetic. To make things confusing, the Margiela card that came in the box says its leather. My experience tells me this is probably pleather by how dry it feels. Also the grain is stamped on (and does not look like the natural pores found on full grain leather). In my experience, pleather creases very badly on shoes (with high stress points). I've asked the store I bought from (LN-CC) to investigate but I will likely return the shoes. Its a real pity as I love the design.

Do you have an idea when the Tabi will be relesed in South Africa?

"purposefully fragmenting itself'? You mean its creased. Its not that deep, just general wear tear that happen with any shoe. Because its from a high end label doesn't make them magic shoes.
