Been watching you like a hundred years and I still love your enthusiasm combined with excellent reviews. I just realized that every time I see you driving around in this Californian areas I get the “Fernweh”. I’m from Germany and I would so much love to drive through the US, especially the West Coast, but also the deserts, from Vegas, to Arizona, through Texas and through the swamps down to the Keys. However, for you, it’s like a 9 to 5 thing I guess. So funny, how perspectives change depending on the side you are on. Sometimes, when I’m doing over 150 mph on our Autobahn, I think about my friends from foreign countries that always freaked out when they experienced this. For me, it’s as normal as for you to drive on a highway with a view of the Pacific… ;)

Some additional facts:
- The normal spare wheel is available as an option, as well as having nothing on the back at all
- The black 'grille' on the front is also only optional, the normal 'grille' is available too

Remember guys, this vehicles purpose is to raise the average mpg of the g wagon lineup so mercedes can keep the v8 as long as possible. Much like how ford does with the mustang

My local Mercedes dealer told me (at least here in germany) that the electric G wagon is selling very poorly. Normal g wagons have a waitlist, while you get a discount on the electric version. I thought that people eccentric enough to drive a g wagon would love the crazy quirks of the EV. Just look at the bouncing Maybachs…
