I’ve long since had to agree to disagree with most of my family concerning gender ideology. My sister and niece have gone to great lengths to help a man “become a woman”. One sister stated it must be awful to have spent 50 years hating the body you’re in, feeling a woman “inside”.

They are kind and decent people, but clueless about what it is they aid. They are also clueless about my being interviewed by the police under caution while I was very ill with cancer.

They are all older than me, some not in the best of health, so I stay quiet. I can’t abide to think our last words will become another horrible memory caused by an ideology that some of my family consider with kindness, that I know is evil.

Thank you Maria. I always appreciate your analysis, but I was saddened by your last sentence, and I understood what you meant.

Having also been a feminist for over 50 years, to me the tide is far too slow in turning, and I feel things have got so much worse for so many women and girls.

Today's tribunal showed us how a young male doctor, afflicted by insane beliefs and entitlement, can embed himself and his paraphilias into the NHS, and expect his colleagues and patients to take part in an 'immersive role play' that denies reality and saps energy.
He's been allowed to bully an experienced female staff member, because she maintained he's a man, and refused to change in front of him.
Yep, sometimes I despair too.
But us oldies are strong and wise. In sisterhood and solidarity. ❤♀️

The AWP meeting in my town had to be moved when the venue cancelled. They mass-phoned the venue threatening it with violence if we, a small, quiet group of mainly middle aged women, were permitted to meet. The venue is owned by the council and the manager could not take the risk to the building or her staff, so cancelled, hours before the meeting. The organisers worked their arses off to find another venue, which was guarded by police as the meeting went on. And by the way, one of the speakers was a trans woman!

It's nice to see you reacting to something that's actually intelligent and right, instead of stupid and wrong. I understand it's important to debunk the TRA nonsense, but I usually find it too depressing and enraging to get through a whole video's worth of it.

Wonderfully well-said. I went to women's HS and college and wouldn't trade those experiences for the world. It's so disheartening...can't white people find some new way to be victims? (I'm in the US and everything here is tangled up with race, so forgive me if that seems odd or uncouth!)
